It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this.
We begin tonight with what is looked back fondly as of the finest games ever in the eyes of many, having been chastised and criticised at the time by die-hard series fans for taking a cel-shaded route instead of the serious route it hinted at during Spaceworld 2000 at the unveiling of the GameCube.
Now though, 12 years after its release, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is arguably among the likes of Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and A Link in Time – to name a few – in the series’ upper echelon. And just last year, Wii U owners got to experience it again, or – if you’re me post-Mario Kart 8 this year – for the first time.
But for Sky News and Ginx freelancer Holly Nielsen, it’s long been her favourite game ever. For the next hour, we speak on her love for the game, the series and how a sibling relationship managed to get her into gaming in the first place.
