So My Favourite Game’s third season is on its way this autumn but the wait between seasons has been longer than usual as I put together the best possible batch of ten episodes. There are big plans afoot for the show from Season 3’s launch, but I’ll share more on that soon (I hope).
In the meantime, you may have noticed a little game coming out today. After 28 years, the end is quite possibly here for the Metal Gear series. Sure, Konami has said it remains committed to the series, but it’s certainly the end of the series as we know it. And it’s definitely looking like, once and for all, it will be Hideo Kojima’s last game in the series.
As someone who has spent, as of writing this, somewhere in the region of 35 to 40 hours with The Phantom Pain since Friday morning, it is nothing short of incredible. I don’t think I can even go into any more detail without spoiling some stuff, but just know it’s amazing. Even if you’re not a Metal Gear fan, I think you’ll find a good fit to play anyway.
